One of the core values of Phi Mu is beautifully expressed in the first line of our creed: “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” We are privileged to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. Throughout the year, we organize various events to benefit these hospitals and bring joy to the children who spend time there.

We are fortunate to be just an hour away from Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. This proximity allows us to visit frequently and share our love and support with the staff and families who spend countless hours there undergoing treatment. We are excited to resume volunteering at the hospital, something that has been challenging since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bonnamu is our largest annual fundraiser benefiting Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. This event, typically held during the spring semester, is a battle of the bands-style competition and a campus favorite. It brings together the Greek community in friendly competition for our beloved cause.

Cheesin’ for the Children is one of our favorite fundraisers during the fall semester. This fun social event allows students and community members to buy tickets to enjoy their favorite cheesy dishes, like grilled cheese sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and nachos, at the Phi Mu house.

Milkshakes for Miracles is another fall semester event. Similar to Cheesin’ for the Children, this event invites students and community members to the Phi Mu house to enjoy delicious milkshakes with a variety of toppings and sprinkles.

RebelTHON is a campus organization that supports a local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Jackson, MS. Many women in our chapter participate in this event each year and even hold leadership roles within the organization.

In addition to these major events, many women in our chapter engage in other service and philanthropic efforts on campus and within the community. We place a strong emphasis on the importance of giving back and are immensely proud of our members' accomplishments. In the Spring 2024 semester alone, Phi Mu raised nearly $50,000 for various philanthropic efforts, and we aim to increase this impact in the future. In all our endeavors, we remain true to our creed: “to practice day by day love, honor, truth. Thus keeping true to the meaning, spirit, and reality of Phi Mu.”
